Bill to deport illegal aliens involved in crimes during protests co-sponsored by Rouzer

Congressman David Rouzer, NC-07, is a co-sponsor, along with Congressman Dan Meuser, R-PA, on legislation introduced by Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne, R-TX, that would deport illegal aliens who participate in criminal activity during pro-terrorism or antisemitic demonstrations, including those currently occupying and vandalizing university campuses across the country.

Praise rolls in for Roberts, fraternity for protecting the flag at UNC

On Thursday, Sen. Ted Budd, R-NC, joined the chorus of praise for UNC's chancellor and a group of students who stepped in to protect the American flag from protesters. Nearly half a million dollars has been raised through GoFundMe for the students and country music star John Rich has offered them a free concert.

Report: Biden admin uses NC airports to relocate ‘inadmissible aliens’

Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) and Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) are among the over 50 airports listed in documents obtained by the House Committee on Homeland Security in which hundreds of thousands of “inadmissible aliens” had flown into through the Biden Administration’s Cuban, Haitian, Nicaraguan, and Venezuelan (CHNV) mass-parole program.

Federal judge strikes down part of NC law restricting abortion pill

A federal judge has thrown out part of North Carolina’s state law restricting access to an abortion pill called mifepristone. The judge ruled that state lawmakers cannot overrule the federal Food and Drug Administration’s previous decisions about the pill. Yet US District Judge Catherine Eagles’ 49-page order Tuesday also upheld portions of the law that the FDA has not addressed.

Legislative leaders seek to pause third lawsuit challenging 2023 election change

Top Republican state lawmakers have asked a federal judge to pause a third lawsuit challenging 2023 changes to North Carolina’s state election law. The judge already has placed two related lawsuits on hold this month. Unlike the other two cases, plaintiffs from the left-of-center activist group Democracy North Carolina have not agreed to stay the proceedings in their case.
