Rep. Dennis Riddell was first elected to the NCGA in 2012. He is co-chair of the state House
General Government Appropriations Committee and co-chair of the House Regulatory
Reform Committee. He represents House District 64 in Alamance County. He and his wife
Polly (who serves as his legislative sssistant) have been married for 42 years and have
seven adult children and two grandchildren. Prior to being elected to the NCGA he was a
high school history teacher for seven years and was an engineer in the US merchant marine
for 35 years. He currently works part-time as a certified thermographer.
