Rev. Dante’ A. Murphy is a past NAACP leader of two North Carolina counties and a former registered Democrat. Murphy is married to Dr. Kimberly McDuffie Murphy and sharing three adult children and two grandchildren. He is currently pastor of Manhollow Missionary Baptist Church in Hampstead, North Carolina, and teaches high school math in Onslow County. He has a rich history of community involvement and civil rights advocacy.
